Last week I picked up World of Warcraft, and I've been playing that. It's really fun. The graphics and physics don't have quite the same level of detail as Half Life, but for an MMORPG they're still pretty good. I have a Night Elf Rogue on Proudmoore named Selerial, so if you play and for some reason read this LJ, send me a tell if you see me online.
This is my first real week on second shift at work. For the last month or two I was working four days a week on weekdays and then one 12 hour weekend shift. It's interesting, but I'm already well acclimated to the 8 hour shifts, such that the 12 hour ones seem to be painfully long.
Sometimes I don't know what sort of crack the guys here are smoking though. One of my coworkers is currently covering third, normally he works first shift. He was complaining to the manager and supervisor about how they should hire the third shift guy they were going to before the hiring freeze (which isn't going to happen for who knows how long). Somehow this translated to him wanting off of the shift, and the supervisor sent me an email asking if I would do four 12 hour shifts Monday through Thursday. Can I get a "fucking hell no"? Anyways, the current third shift guy has hopefully cleared up the situation with everyone, but I was fairly annoyed that they'd even consider asking me something like that. I realize I'm something of the "old standby" when it comes to getting coverage, but I like the second shift and it seemed like they were jerking me around a little when I was first reading the email and thinking about it.
I haven't been watching much anime lately. I still have series that I'm following, but I haven't been keeping up on the new releases. I'm thinking that I'll probably try to make a list of the stuff I want, and then ask for it for Christmas. I probably should work on it, since that's less than a month away now. Also, if people wanna give me ideas for what they'd like, let me know. A reply to this post, email, verbal, psychic projections (that's not a good method though).
Peace out, yo.
