I guess part of the problem was that I was feeling a bit depressed, because work is all single coverage and is 24x7, which means that while some people were getting snow days, I *had* to be at work. I think I've mentioned it before, but this 24x7 crap is something I'll shy away from in any future positions I might look for. I guess the single coverage is the real problem though. Essentially we're in a situation where we can't really take vacations, or even be sick, without forcing a tedious juggling act to occur. The other factor is that I like working with people, when it comes down to it. Working alone, you have only yourself and your own strength to rely upon. This inventory work, for instance, probably could take about three hours to complete if two coordinated people were working on it. Instead, I still have more to do today, after working on it for about four hours last night.
Anyways, in more positive news, I've just printed out some Anime Boston pre-reg forms, and tomorrow Maggie and I will fill them out and mail them. As it stands, there's actually decent coverage on Fridays, which would be the only day I'd need off, so that's really not too bad.
