Hm, I guess I can take the way back machine to a few weeks ago and talk about my trip to the Saviors pre-release. Mason was supposed to show up at my house around 9am, so I was awake and showered by then, but he had fallen back asleep. Around 11am he finally got to my place and I showed off Kakumei a little. Then we went to the pre-release and waited for about three hours for our flight to fill up. By that time there wasn't enough time left for any more flights, so that was the only Magic I played. I did horrible the first two rounds, and then the last two rounds my opponents dropped so I played casually against people and mostly slapped them around with the deck.. go figure. I bought a large amount of "Vitamin Water" and some Power Bars which, I think, helped me keep my energy up over the tournament, but of course I still got beaten early, so it didn't really matter too much.
Hmm, what else. I was thinking about religion earlier today. Despite being an atheist, I actually agree with the very-ultra-basic premise of religion, which is that people should work towards being good, and away from being evil.
Of course, everyone has their own definitions of good, evil, and even how to work towards them, which is why religion fails.
Personally, I view good, on it's most basic level, as being something which makes people feel better, and evil as something which makes people feel worse. Given almost any example of what is "good" or "evil", I think either can be broken down in to blocks of these two basic definitions.
Right now I feel sort of tired. After working for 12 hours yesterday, I went home, watched a little TV, and went to bed sometime after 9pm. I woke up enough at 7am to set my alarm for noon and then went back to sleep until my alarm went off. Despite around 14-15 hours of sleep, I still sort of feel tired.. but on the other hand, it doesn't feel like I have a black hole sucking my energy away as I often do.
