So on my way to work I got pulled over. Needless to say, I was going rather fast on a road with a speed limit which should be at least 10 mph higher, imo. The officer was nice, and since I haven't gotten a ticket yet, allowed me to go on my way with a verbal warning. I'm sorta torn about stuff like this. On the one hand, I consider myself a relatively decent driver, and I think I'll be ok driving at whatever speed I happen to consider reasonable at the time. Also, even the "slow" traffic goes above the speed limit (this highway is still at 55, when most have been changed to 65). However, I'm not arguing with the fact that I was speeding. Nor would I have begrudged the officer for giving me a ticket. It's just that now I'm going to be paranoid for a while, and probably drive slower. And, frankly, that's probably most of what he was looking for to happen anyways.
I get tomorrow off. It's funny, my week has been exceptionally long, but the fact that I'm going to have a Friday off is still something I've been looking forward to. Due to how my schedule works, of course, I really don't know that I'll be able to do much. I'll wake up sometime in the evening. Most places will still be open, but probably not for more than a few hours. I guess I could have Jim over to play something, of course, if he's up for that.
Then, Saturday and Sunday I work again, but then I get my normal weekend. Pretty weird schedule, but the week itself hasn't be remarkably screwy, overall.
